Six years ago on my birthday I had many
presents from my family and friends. It was a great birthday. After my
party was over, I was very busy and I forgot about my presents. I only
opened them later. I opened a box and I couldn’t believe it because it
was a big surprise.
It was a cat! She was very cute and soft like
a sweater; very fat and big like a blanket. When I went to sleep I put
her with me on the bed. It was a wonderful night, but in the morning
when I got up I didn’t see my present. She was gone. I was very nervous.
I didn’t know what to do or where to go to find my surprise.
The next night I heard voices from my closet.
It sounded like, “Meow! Meow!” I opened the closet and what did I see?
It was simply horrible. My cute present was not alone. Many kittens lay
around my big present. The present which I received was a pregnant cat!
I didn’t see or feel that she was pregnant and my friends didn’t know
about it. My parents were in shock. We had a new family.
Time went by and the kittens grew up a little
bit. They were small but fat like their mother. Later I asked my friends
where they found this cat and why they gave me a present like this. And
they said, “Because we found her on the street and didn’t know what to
do. We thought about your birthday and about a home for this cat. It was
a great idea to present you with this cat.”
After a few months I saw a newspaper
advertisement about a lost cat with her picture. In the picture was a
cat exactly the same as my present. We called and they came to see our
cat. Her name was Kiki and she went with her kittens to her original
owner.
