FOLLOWING THE GREAT MOVEMENT OF

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

by Gladis Alfaror

“I have a dream!” Those were Martin Luther King, Jr.’s words, and I want to use, or follow them. My dreams are that one day we all are going to be equal, have no racism, have equal opportunities for education, and decent housing.

Racism is something that I hope one day is going to stop. It is very sad how some greedy people treat other people just because we don’t have money or because we are not white. Martin Luther King, Jr. made some changes and I hope that one day discrimination or racism will disappear for good.

I believe that the opportunity of going to school is a privilege that everyone should have, no matter what color or nationality they are. I have a dream that one day this is going to be reality, not just a dream.

A dream that we all have is that one day we will all have a decent place to live. We all deserve that. After a hard day of work, we can go home and enjoy our family, but if we don’t have our own place, it’s not nice; instead it’s a heavy burden.

I have a dream that one day we are all going to achieve all those things that we need; equality, opportunities, education and decent housing. I believe that those dreams are not too much to ask.
